In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to set up the Make Connector for WordPress, allowing you to create posts directly from Make.com. This integration opens up a world of possibilities for automating your content management process.
I go through the entire process in the video below:
Setting Up the Make Connector
To begin the integration process, follow these steps:
- In Make.com, select WordPress from the available apps.
- Choose the “Create a post” action.
- Name your connection (e.g., “My WordPress Connection”).
Installing the Make Connector Plugin
To enable the connection between Make.com and WordPress, you need to install the Make Connector plugin on your WordPress site:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
- Search for “Make Connector”.
- Click “Install Now” and then “Activate”.
Configuring the Make Connector
Once the plugin is activated, you’ll need to set up the connection:
- In your WordPress dashboard, find the “Make” option in the left-hand menu.
- Copy the API key provided.
- In Make.com, paste the API key into the appropriate field.
- Add your WordPress site URL followed by “/wp-json/” (e.g., “https://yoursite.com/wp-json/”).
- Save the connection and test it.
Creating a Test Post
To ensure the connection is working correctly, create a test post:
- In Make.com, set up a simple scenario with a WordPress “Create a post” action.
- Enter a test title and content.
- Select “HTML” as the content type.
- Run the module to create the post.
After running the test, check your WordPress site to confirm that the new post has been created successfully. This Make Connector integration can be used in various automation scenarios, allowing you to streamline your content creation and management processes efficiently.
