Overview of the Automation Process
The automation is broken down into two main steps:
1. Image Analysis
When you paste a URL into the Airtable base, the system will:
- Fetch the content of the article
- Extract images from the article
- Pass the images to OpenAI for analysis
- Generate suggestions for new content based on the image analysis
2. Content Generation
Once suggestions are generated, you can:
- Review and edit the suggestions
- Trigger the system to generate new paragraphs based on approved suggestions
- Copy the new content into your article
Setting Up the Automation
Airtable Setup
Create an Airtable base with the following fields:
- Post URL: For pasting article URLs
- Suggestions: Long text field for AI-generated suggestions
- Status: Dropdown with options like “Open”, “Images Analyzed”, “Generate New Paragraphs”, and “New Content Generated”
- New Content: Long text field for generated content
- Existing Article: Long text field for the original article content
- Last Modified: Date/Time field for tracking updates
Make.com Setup
In Make.com, create a new scenario and add the following modules:
- Airtable – Watch Records: To monitor for new or updated records
- HTTP: To fetch article content using Fir Crawl service
- OpenAI: For image analysis and content generation
- Airtable – Update Record: To update the record with new suggestions and content
Using the Automation
To use the automation:
- Paste an article URL into the Airtable base
- The system will automatically analyze images and generate suggestions
- Review and edit suggestions as needed
- Change the status to “Generate New Paragraphs” to trigger content creation
- Copy the generated content into your article
